Materials
Union Packaging uses the following paperboard packaging materials in our nested cartons:

• Substrates: SBS, CUK, and TMP
• Polycoating (optional) – prevents wicking for use with greasy foods
• Water-based inks – FDA-approved for folding cartons that are printed on the inside too.

Quality
Our nested cartons are subjected to the highest testing standards. We perform these quality checks on our nested cartons:

• Friction Test
• Fiber Tear Test
• Ink Rub Test – for ink smears, testing for dryness and dry time to reduce rub-off to adjoining nested carton
